On May 27, the Loch Lomond Property Owners Association hired Clearwater Plant Harvesters to remove our invasive aquatic weeds. Mechanical removing is an environmentally sound method for controlling nuisance vegetation to allow for water recreation. We were able to remove 10 tons of weeds from the lake, which is 20,000 pounds! The total project took a week to complete, costing around $10,000 for the harvesting and two dumpster rentals to haul away debris. The project has greatly improved usability of the lake for recreation like boating, fishing, and swimming. We hope you’ve enjoyed the benefits this summer!
