A huge thank you goes out to Josh Pluda.  He started a resident T Ball/ Baseball Fundamentals league this summer and it was a huge hit.  Josh and his wife Nikki live on the South side of the lake with their two young boys, Jaxon and Maverick.

Josh grew up playing baseball. His son, Jaxon, showed interest this summer in learning the game.  The family signed up for lessons through the park district, which had to be cancelled due to a lack of a coach.   Josh took matters into his own hands and started a league on his own.  He is building a community of young players who were interested in learning baseball.  Josh notes “It has been amazing meeting families in our community and teaching our kids about sportsmanship and athletics.”

Many young children have benefitted from Josh’s ambition.  The kids have met weekly at Lincoln’s baseball field.  It is fun seeing the kids so excited to learn and play.  Josh has taught them so many skills and given them memories which will last a lifetime.

Thanks for a great summer! Look for information in the Spring for the League forming again.
