South Beach is once again staffed for the summer season! We have a great crew of lifeguards and gate guards helping us keep South Beach safe and clean.
South Beach lifeguard hours 2021*
Monday – Friday: Noon – 6 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
*Hours are subject to change based on staffing availability
Closing routine
Lifeguards are required to close the water a half hour before the posted closing time in order to clean up and perform other duties. We appreciate your understanding.
Beach rules
Remember that only residents in good standing and their guests are invited to use our beaches. That means you must be paid up on dues. Please bring your 2021 beach tags with you each time you use either beach, both during staffed and non-staffed hours.
- If residents come to the beach during non-guard hours, please leave the beach the way it was when you arrived (i.e. goose fence needs to be put back, toys need to be cleaned up etc.)
- When parents take children into the deep end to swim, the parent must remain at shoulder depth, one child per adult, and the child must wear a life preserver (not arm floaties).
- Nobody under the age of 12 may enter the beach without a person 16 or older to accompany them.
